Enjoy 13 days in Egypt, exploring it from head to toe, starting with the magnificent Capital with its various histories then flying to Aswan.

You’ll have a remarkable sail on the “Dahabiya,” where you’ll get to sail the old way with leisure, exploring the hidden treasures in the area.

Ending the sail at Luxor with its glorious history and grand temples, the going back to Cairo to say goodbye.

Day 1: Cairo – Arrival Day

  • You’ve arrived at Cairo International Airport; our representative will be waiting for you to help you through passport control.
  • You’ll be transferred to the Mena House hotel after that to check-in while you enjoy your welcome drink. Goodnight.

Day 2: Cairo – Historical Egypt

  • Good morning. Have a tasty breakfast with a magnificent view from the Mena House hotel on the Pyramids before you depart to meet them officially.
  • You’ll witness one of the Seven Wonders of the World; they look even more incredible as you get closer, the Three Majestic Pyramids of the three kings, Cheops, Chephren, and Myckerinus, guarded by the famous Sphinx.
  • Afterward, you’ll go to Saqqara Complex where the latest archeological discoveries took place, it’s one of the most ancient sites, and the first trial of building a pyramid by King Djoser was there, “The Step Pyramid.
  • You’ll have your lunch during the visits.
  • Then you’ll go back to the hotel to have a good night of sleep. Sweet Dreams.

Day 3: Cairo – Various cultures

  • Good morning. Slept well? Eat your breakfast, then let’s go for another city tour in Cairo.
  • First, you’ll visit the Egyptian Museum, which opened in 1902; it is also known as the ancient Egyptian civilization museum. It houses more than 100,000 pieces of antiquities and most of the mummies discovered since the 19th century.
  • Then, you’ll visit Salah El-Din Citadel, one of Cairo’s top attractions, acted as a defensive fortress with its high walls, and used to be the Government’s seat for 700 years. You’ll also find Mohamed Ali Mosque, built in the 19th century by Mohamed Ali Pasha on Islamic architecture.
  • You’ll have your lunch during the visits.
  • After finishing today’s tour, you’ll go back to enjoy your stay in this luxurious hotel.

Day 4: Cairo/Aswan – Traveling day

  • Good morning. Have your breakfast and say goodbye to this magnificent view, then check-out from the hotel.
  • You’ll be transferred to Cairo Airport to take your flight to Aswan.
  • Upon arrival, you’ll check-in to Sofitel Legend Old Cataract Hotel, a luxurious hotel where Agatha Christie once sipped her cocktails, overlooking the Nile.
  • Enjoy the view and your stay at the hotel. Good night.

Day 5: Aswan – Peaceful Nile

  • Good morning. Have some free time in Aswan to enjoy the beauty of this peaceful city.
  • You can visit the Aswan Museum close to the hotel, or go to the Souq, which is the local market; your time is yours to spend.
  • Return to the hotel when you are done to have a good rest and enjoy a comfy stay.

Day 6: Dahabiya – Aswan the magical

  • In the morning, you’ll enjoy your breakfast with the Nile view then check-out from the hotel.
  • You’ll be transferred to “Dahabiya,” It means golden in Arabic; it is a luxurious old-fashioned sailboat that sails with the wind without an engine. Check-in and have your lunch.
  • Time to explore Aswan, you’ll take a motorboat to reach Philae Temple, which was rescued from the inundation of water resulting from building Aswan’s high dam and removed to a higher place Agilkya Island. The temple is dedicated to the goddess Isis.
  • You’ll stop by the High Dam of Aswan; its importance lies in the disasters it is preventing from floods and drought. It was constructed between 1960 and 1971.
  • You can visit the Nubian Museum, where you can learn more about the Nubian culture, and it acts as a reminder of the monuments that were lost after building the High Dam.
  • Back to the boat for dinner.

Day 7: Dahabiya – Egyptian Mythology

  • Good morning. Enjoy your breakfast while we start sailing toward Kom Ombo.
  • Upon arrival, you’ll visit the uniquely double designed Kom Ombo Temple built in dedication to two Gods, Sobek, the crocodile, and Haroeris, the falcon.
  • After finishing the visit, you’ll resume sailing.
  • Enjoy your meals on board, and have a good night.

Day 8: Dahabiya – Beautiful Sites

  • We will sail to Gebel el Silsila, an ancient quarry that is hard to reach but easy with the Dahabiya. It is the home of stones used to build the temple of Karnak, Kom Ombo site, and many more.
  • Then sail to Fawaza Island, a peaceful and green island in the middle of the Nile, where you can enjoy a dinner barbeque perfectly prepared by the onboard Chef.
  • Then go back to Dahabiya and spend the night on board.

Day 9: Dahabiya – Gods of Egypt

  • We will start sailing toward Edfu in the morning.
  • Upon arrival, visit Edfu Temple, It is dedicated to the falcon god Horus the son of Isis.
  • You’ll visit El Kab in the Afternoon. It is the oldest settlement of Upper Egypt and the home of Nekbet, the vulture goddess of Upper Egypt. The site is called Nekheb in the Egyptian language in referral to the goddess.
  • All meals will be served on board.

Day 10: Dahabiya – Sailing day

  • You’ll have a day of sailing, passing through Esna Lock, and spending the night in Esna.
  • All meals will be served on board.
  • Enjoy sailing.

Day 11: Luxor/Cairo – Marvelous history

  • You’ll arrive at Luxor in the morning. Enjoy your breakfast before you depart to explore the West Bank attractions.

    The Valley of the Kings, the gateway to the afterlife, you will find more than 62 tombs of the greatest pharaohs prepared for the next world as they believed.

    The Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, one of the most impressive temples, modeled after the temple of Mentuhotep II, but on a much larger scale, it was designed by Senmut. Hatshepsut built that temple to immortalize her name.

    The Two Colossi of Memnon, two monumental statues of Amenophis III, which the Greeks say is the Greek hero Memnon of the Trojan War.

  • Return to Dahabiya to have lunch, then check-out.
  • You still have the Eastside to explore before you leave Luxor.

    The Great Temple of Karnak, was built gradually over 2,000 years, starting at the Middle Kingdom till the Ptolemaic period, dedicated to the god Amen.

    Luxor Temple, which was built by Amenophis III and later added to it by Ramsses II. It used to be the home of the Roman Government in the area during the Roman era.

  • When you finish the visits, you’ll take the flight back to Cairo.
  • Upon arrival, check-in to St. Regis hotel. Goodnight.

Day 12: Cairo – The Nile and Old Cairo

  • Good morning. Have your breakfast and enjoy your stay at the hotel that lies at Cairo’s heart; your view is the Nile and Old Cairo.
  • You have a free day to enjoy the beauty of the Capital and its nightlife.

Day 13: Cairo – Departure day

  • You’ll check-out from the hotel in the morning after having your breakfast.
  • You’ll be transported to Cairo International Airport to take your flight back home. Have a safe flight; waiting to see you again soon.
